First of 2 dives w/ Aqua World. Got U-man and my traditional McDonald's breakfast on way to Aqua World. Definite cattle herd operation, but well run & safe. Ride out to wreck was very rough & current at surface and on bottom was very strong - thought the current would rip my mask off. Wreck was in 2 pieces a few hundred yards apart. Only those with air left got to go to the 2nd part. Swam through first part - saw head (??) and several schools of fish. At 2nd part of wreck saw 4 large spotted eagle rays. Then when on rope line going up to surface saw 1 large (12 feet across) hovering below us, then saw a huge school of rays, at least 30 animals, maybe 50 or more, basically filled our field of view from the surface.

First Dive ever, with Scuba Cancun scubacancun.com.mx Boulevard Kukulkan, Benito Juarez, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R., Mexico ~1 hour training in their small pool beforehand, then boat dive. With me: one instructor, and a couple (American) Dove and saw the underwater sculptures, and several species of fish, and a turtle! Amazing first experience.

dolphins on the way in! Minesweeper wreck - apparently it used to be 50m long but a hurricane broke it and moved it away - now it's "only" 10m long Lots of life in and around the ship. The chimney is in very good state and despite the strong-ish current it was a blast to wander within the wreck!

Manchones Grande. Visibility was great. There was a fairly strong current. I wore a 3mm full length wetsuit and was comfortable.
