Diver's Notes

Second dive after the accident. This time I had less trouble with the dive. The weather helped very much, the waves were much smaller and there was no current. Donning the suits and removing were much more easier, even with the boat sailing. I used the full neoprene suit, gloves and all, much better, felt no hint of cold the entire dive. Of course, there was no nasty thermocline like last time, which helped tremendously. 10 kg of weight is the ideal for me, for the time being, I hope to reduce that with time. Juliana went down with 14 kg, but hopefully that too will be reduced.
With no rocking from waves and current me and Juliana took our time honing our macro shots skills, which made me realize, due to the amount of suspension in the water that we are better of with macro than with seascapes. The amount of fishes on the other hand was a bit of a let down, after the absurd schools that we saw at Laje two weeks before. We came across with about five people spear fishing, which hinted to this lack of fish. Visibility was average for the site, and there was a lot of suspension that foild any chance of good shots.
Diving with Omnimare was a great experience, very well organized, we were both well impressed.
