Good set up. Actually book online at shop on tablet. Shown where to wash kit and where to hang it all up. Good dive for orientation. Dived with instructor Fabi and an American couple Jacqueline and Robert Johnstone. Walked down jetty to the “dive hut” to prep. Kitted up and did giant stride into water. Surface swim over to the red dive buoy which is beyond the buoy for the pilots. Descended, did mask clearing, DV recovery, out of air emergency practice with Jeanette. Swam against current to just passed wreck and drifted back to the shot line. Performed a safety stop, swam back on surface to pier. The other couple were from California. Woman was all over the reef.

The same entry and exit as previous, this time at the bottom of the shot line was a Napoleon Wrasse. The visibility was not great on this dive with loads of sediment in the water. At first it did not seem as though we were going to see anything over and above the usual residents but then we saw 3 black tips, the first after the wreck and the last before the shot line. I managed to take some photos of Wilson for a change. On our way back Wilson spotted a Octopus who was hunting and then a guitar shark with its remora to the side. SPECIES: Giant colourful clam, Napoleon wrasse, cleaner wrasse, chromis, humbugs, black cheek moray eel, goldies, blue parrot fish, Indian damsels, black box fish, emperor angelfish, happy face parrot fish, regal angelfish, titan trigger, black tip reef shark, batfish, octopus, yellow back fusiliers, guitar shark, lionfish, gobi, juvenile boxfish, Moorish idols, threadfin butterfly fish, powder blue surgeon fish

Wreck dive for PADI AOW. Excellent dive around 2 Japanese tuna trawlers that had been moved in the tsunami of 2004. One is almost vertical against the reef whilst the other lies parallel to it. Ideal for descent, bottom time and ascent.
