Last dive on the Narooma trip, out looking for seals again, but didn't find any. The water was absolutely crystal clear and fantastic. We saw another wobbigong and another port jackson and lots more fish. Yuki found a little black fish with a ble tail that had a very strange way of swimming - flip-flip-flip-float, flip-flip-flip-float, without any real control. Strange stuff. She also found a little cuttlefish that had a wonderful talent for changing colours. While doing our safety stop on the way back to the boat we saw another really big ray which Yuki went chasing after (managing to stuff up her safety stop), and then headed back to the boat.

Second day down at Narooma, again on the Northern side diving for sharks. Before we even started out on the boat we saw a massive sting ray swimming underneath! This time we went down towards the northern side and landed right amongst several Grey Nrses, and lots and lots of fish. The water was rather dirty with krill or something but other than that was fantastically clear. We ended up diving down to 21m or so and just sat there amongst the fish as the sharks came and went around us (at one stage we were surrounded by seven!) We then went through a crevace and down to 22m, finding that the water was considerably warmer, and encountering a massive wobbigong. We also found several port jacksons, and spent lots of time just floating around looking at the huge schools of fish. There were lots of fish with white dots on them (in the distance you could just see lots of bright dots), and yellow-tailed fish that looked like tuna but were too small to actually be tuna.

Second dive of day 1, on the Western side of Montague island. Travelling back around the top there were a dozen or so seals sunbathing on the rocks - took some photos as we went by. Dropping down towards the Northern side of the bay we swam back towrds the peninsula where the seals were sunbathing, we saw a turtle, and then a banjo shark. Upon getting near the peninsula we encountered one seal that took quite an inquisitive interest in us, diving around near us and checking us out, however it seemed to tire of us quickly and then disappeared. We headed back and whilst seeing lots more fish there were no more sharks or seals.
