The divemaster certification will provide another step up the ladder and help you advanced towards the maximum level of a scuba professional.

Work closely with our instructors and enjoy some Cancun diving as you assist the team in teaching and supervising divers.

This course is the base course prior to taking the Rescue certification. The course is not only available to divers, anyone can participate to enable them to acquire basic first aid knowledge and CPR skills to assist an emergency situation.

Aquaworld Cozumel is affiliated with PADI who offers this course to open water divers. Each adventure dive taken within the advanced course can be used as one immersion towards the relevant specialty.

Once you have finished the theory and pool training with your local dive shop, you will receive a referral form or dive log book with your instructor’s signature. This is all we need to assist you with the completion of your open water check out dives so that you leave Mexico a fully-fledged certified diver.

Once you complete your Discover Scuba course, you will be addicted to diving. If you would like to continue diving in Cancun during your vacation why not become certified? With a few more lessons and a couple of open water dives you could go home a fully-fledged certified diver.

Dive in Cancun on the local reef sites located between the coasts of Cancun and Isla Mujeres. These are relatively shallow reefs which provide the perfect necessities for coral reef to grow and prosper.

Visit this area at night and it’s completely different from a day dive. You can only see the area illuminated by your dive light so this amplifies your senses and your concentration is focused on one small tunnel of light.

The Cancun Underwater Museum is known worldwide for it’s achievement in helping conservation in the area and providing a new and unique option for diving in Cancun.

Dive to 85 ft and enter the C-58 Mine sweeper that sits on the ocean floor about 40 minutes off the coast of Cancun.

This drift dive is considered advanced as it’s a little more demanding than the other Cancun dives. The C-58 Mine sweeper was used in World War II and was known as the USS Harlequin. The Mexican navy then acquired it and it was deliberately sunk in the 80’s to create an artificial reef.

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced diver, visiting the Underwater Museum must be included in your Cancun dive package.

This dive is available daily because of the sheer demand and number of divers in Cancun who would like to see this amazing project. Back in 2009 the Cancun Underwater museum consisted of only 3 statues – now there are over 470 life sized sculptures.

Artist Jason DeCaires Taylor is responsible for the creation of this artificial reef along with Roberto Diaz Abraham and Jaime Gonzalez who assisted in organization, fund raising and permits.

But if you hold a valid dive certification you can dive with us to 85 feet and experience some of the most awesome wall dives in the world.
