Our second dive at Sail rock was similarly spectacular. We went through a chimney and watched an eel move swiftly along the cliff face for our 3 minute safety stop. There were great big angelfish sitting atop gardens of anemone, the largest I've ever seen. Such peculiar looking creatures! My profile on this dive was improved from the sawtooth of the last dive, I think my BC must be okay, I will just need to fix the padding and attach a new string to the dump valve.

An early start to the day left us with an exhausted temperament, and the seemingly disorganised and long journey to sail rock led us to feel apprehensive about the entire experience. For the expense and how much it is talked up, Sail Rock was spectacular but also overrated. Unfortunately it was an overcast day, and the depths of the dive made it harder to take a decent shot. By this stage of our trip my macro lens had leaked water, the padding on my BC was beginning to degrade and the dump valve string had been torn off at some stage. I've yet to determine whether it has affected my bouyancy because my profile on the sail rock dives was more sawtooth than usual. But that might have also been from filming long panning shots too.

A fun community to dive with in a beautiful place

We dove with big bubble twice a day almost every day we stayed on Koh Tao (16 dives in total)! They provide a fun and friendly service, and some of the cheapest diving I've ever seen in the most amazing marine environment. The dive boat is owned by the shop and leaves from the beach literally on their door which made diving almost too easy! The staff are passionate and hard working, and I would dive with them again tomorrow.
