Day trip on the Toby (3 dives)
0ur 600 HP speedboat. You will struggle to find a faster boat in Labuan Bajo. Where other boats take 3 hours to get to the north of the park, we do it in less than 1. Toby is for our serious divers and is an advanced only boat (excluding trekking days to Rinca). On Toby, we hit the best and most advanced sites in the park. Like Hugo, Toby holds a maximum of 13 divers. USD 190 includes gear rental, coffee/tea/water/juice, snacks, lunch, and, of course, a fresh towel. Toby meets later, leaving at 8:30, to allow a little bit of a sleep in. Usually, Toby is back by 4:30 - perfect time to take a shower downstairs, grab a beverage from our restaurant, and watch the sunset.

Our 100HP traditional outrigger boat. On Hugo we do 2 dives a day, mostly catering to courses and newer divers. Hugo can hold a maximum of 13 people, including dive staff. This allows for a more relaxed atmosphere with a bit more instruction and time to work out any nerves. We serve snacks, lunch and tea/coffee/water throughout the day and top it off with a fresh towel. We meet at 7:45, leave at 8, and usually return around 2:30. Hugo runs USD 85 for 2 dives including gear rental. It is also possible to run a night dive on Hugo for USD 65/dive.

Discover Scuba Diving - Pool training
A bit nervous? If you feel a little anxious for your Discover Scuba Diving experience, you can get a bit more comfortable by beginning your adventure in the pool. After a basic introduction to diving theory, we take you through the scuba skills required in a shallow, controlled environment the day prior to your adventure at sea. Rescue Diver Course
The PADI Rescue Diver course is touted by many as the most important and rewarding step in your diving education. This course will dramatically transform your skills, your perspective, and awareness of yourself and others while diving. Building upon solid skills, we will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. The curriculum includes studying theory, practicing rescue techniques, mock scenarios in our training pool and a full rescue scenario day in the park.

Nitrox
Nitrox is a mix of several gasses, but the most important ones are oxygen and nitrogen. When you dive on nitrox, we increase the amount of oxygen in your tank from 21% to anywhere between 28-32%. This allows for longer no decompression limits and more time underwater. There have also been studies that have proven diving on Nitrox can make you feel less tired after a full day of diving! Here at Blue Marlin Komodo, we offer the theory for this course only. We are hoping to have Nitrox capabilities by 2015 - so stay tuned!!!
