First night dive ever. Saw two turtles which was incredible. One fo them was a hawksbill turtle for sure. Saw a puffer fish as well. Bioluminescence was awesome. Met Tomas Medina. Photographer. Pedro referred me to to Reef Photo for Nauticam housing.

“Swimming with sharks... Take that out of my bucket list!”

What a Day! From the reservation to the must minimal Island Scuba and their family business professional staff were excellent in every possible way. Pedro and Neida could not have done more to make it an enjoyable dive trip. Reservation was done through the internet, no hassle and quick respond. Map on their website was done with great detail. There is no way you can get loss. I was asked to be on the shop at 7:30am. By 8:00am were in the boat and by 8:20 we were at “La Pared” or The Wall. Staff took care of all my equipment. Pedro did his safety and site chat and by 8:35am I had already seen two very interesting Caribbean Reef Sharks and a beautiful green Moray Eel. Pedro’s professionalism and knowledge of the area makes you feel safe which at the same time lets you enjoy the dive. Pedro is a no hurry dive master with a great eye which lets you really grasp and appreciate the beautiful scenery. The Wall is a site filled with beautiful corals, you won’t see banks of sand during this dive, and full of marine life. The aspect of being in front of the wall while the sunlight enters the water hitting the wall is breathtaking. Our Dive lasted about 45 to 50 minutes after our security stop. Neida helped me with my gear and exchange tanks. After a very short ride we were on our second dive spot. We had some snacks and after our planned surface time elapse we were back in the water. During our first dive sharks kept their distance and only came close to eat some fresh lion fish meat that Pedro was leaving behind as a trail. During the second dive we had an extremely close encounter with three (3) nursing sharks. This beautiful animals where laying there just waiting for us. Again Pedro’s eye and knowledge of the area was the big difference. If you want to dive in Puerto Rico you must dive at The Wall. And if you want to the Wall as it should be, the perfect diving operator are Pedro and Neida at Island Scuba! The question is not IF I’m coming back. The questions is WHEN I’m coming back!
