Last dive for the course of night diving. Pretty little visibility even if there was half moon. I was diving with dry suit and i didn't empty the residual air I had in the suit so I had a very bad buoyancy at the beginning that meant that I couldn't control it at the beginning and I surfaced (as visible from diving profile). After removing the air, the dive proceeded regularly and with pleasure. I saw a couple of crayfish, a few perches, but overall the sand was quite silty. Good contact with diving buddy (The great Philip Welton) and overall a great dive.

Second dive of Night diving. Pitch dark and sandy environment, with some movement of silt from the diver in front of us. Few sleepy fish generally resting on top of ledges. Did navigation exercise of going in straight line and reverting with 180 degrees turn that would have been successful if the route set wasn't a bit incorrect and we hit in a bus! We recovered and got to the starting point eventually. Quite cold even with dry suit but body had adapted after first dive.

First dive of night diving course. Started the dive after sunset but with still a bit of light. Very opaque water; never lost touch with buddy but lost sight of dive master in front just a few meters in front of us. Enjoyed sighting of crayfishes (a couple being quite curious about our light) and the lunar feeling of the dive. I enjoyed much less the water temperature that at 5 degrees felt cold even with drysuit!

Friendly chaps, good attitude and good teaching

These guys really enjoy what they are doing and their passion is contageous. Great school and being based at the reservoir means that they are continuously practising and experimenting so dealing with a group with a huge amount of experience. They are thorough (in many years they were the first one who insisted in a rigorous way on the buddy check - it may be because I first learnt diving in Spanish - but I never heard the sentence: "Burger with relish and fries" but I am sure never to forget it now). So good experience and at the end of the dive I could have a drink (beer in bottles) and a great dinner. A great day to spend a few hours diving and chilling out!
