Northdiving Lanzarote, Spain

(1 review)

Our idealism and experience enable us to offer you new and untouched dive sites. They are at the eastern coast between ARRIETA and LOS COCOTEROS and can be reached by car in 5-15 minutes, depending on weather and the tides.

We dive every weekday

1st dive: 10-12 am

2nd dive: 2-4 pm

With a special permit we are allowed to dive in the National reservation around the islands Graciosa, Montana Clara and Alegranza (with 3 or more people on the zodiac "LANCILOTEÑO". In case of rough weather, we can drive to Puerto del Carmen in the South in about 30 minutes.

The volcanic island Lanzarote, one either dislikes it, or one falls in love with it forever.
IThe northern half of Lanzarote makes you feel as if a volcano erupted yesterday. Each of our 10 dive sites shows different kinds of formations. They came into existance when molten lava gushed into the sea and solidified into bizarre figures. Canyons, caves, grottos, overhangs and steep reefs going down to 40 meters were created. Since the North is not overrun by tourists, these treasures have remained intact.

The dives are planned with great care and without rushing. During the briefing we form small groups according to experience, so that everyone can enjoy their dive.

We dive through barracuda and small fish schools, and over colorful gorgonia corals. Depending on the season, we meet mantas, angel sharks, bonitos, jewfish, yellow tails and many more. The caves are home to thousands of small fish and other animals.

Entry was really trcky: high tide / big waves / slippery stones The "elevator" was really fun to go through, too bad there was little sea life in there this time !

Beautiful and quiet

Everything was wonderful, Uli and Rüdiger were awesome teachers, the location - Arieta - is a wonderful fisherman's town, both quiet and yet offering a lot (awesome tapas bars) - and close to incredible diving places were you can go as many times as you want without feeling bored. Acces to the spots is made by car, which means shore dives - and entrance (and exit) can be a bit complicated when the waves are strong - probably best to be a wee bit experiences. Beginners will go to Puerto del Carmen where a natural swimming pool will be awaiting. Thanks guys for the good time and the CMAS 3* training !
