First wreck dive! Nice for first timers, openings and deck are wide and tall enough to allow easy access on the top parts of the boat. Great fauna on deck and front of the ship.

Ships of the Japanese Imperial Navy were sunk on 24 September 1944 by aircraft from the USS Lexington, Task Force 38. The Kogyo Maru was a Navy Auxillary Ship, 129m long; beam 18m and 6353 gross tonnes. The wreck lays on its starboard side. Access is through open hatches on the deck. Inside, various pieces of equipment and machinery are evident. Dive had very poor visibility and limited visible marine life - made worse by leaking mask.

Great dive!

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Jojo was very thorough with the dive guidance and made me feel at ease through my first wreck. Everyone is very knowledgeable of the history of the site as well as the fauna and conditions.
