Final dive of the great trip to Chuuk Lagoon, massive engine room.

Nice dive on the Nagano Maru

436´ (133m), 6.438-ton Passenger-Cargo Ship rests on her port side in the Repair Anchorages, where she was undergoing repairs and nearly empty at the time of her demise. Divers reach her starboard side at just 30´-50´ (9-15m) and can penetrate engine room and aft holds, where 35,6cm (14") shells use by second-line Japanese Battleships are found, plus a steamroller, constructions equipment, and a propeller. Since she is shallow her marine growth is astounding. She is almost intact from bow to stern.

Great boat, great crew - GREAT Diving

A week aboard, provided some of the best recreational diving I've done. A must for the bucket list. Hoping one day to go back.

The Spectacular Thorfinn

I have dived all over the world and have made thousands of dives many on Liveaboard dive boats. I can say without fear of contradiction from any quarter that the Thorfinn blows any and all dive operations I have experienced out of the water ( pun intended). There are 5 dives a day offered ( in terrific RIB boats) on different wrecks instead of just 2 wrecks if the Liveaboard moves from wreck to wreck often of course causing damage to the fragile ships. I read many comments before coming to the Thorfinn and I can honestly say any negative ones MUST have been made by party's with a vicarious motive or been paid to make them. The Thorfinn is a huge vessel, the lounge alone is the size of my house. Anyone who wants comfort, great food and as much world class wreck diving as they can handle then there is only one dive operator to choose.........the SS THORFINN no question about it. A final point to make is about safety on the dives. I have never felt more safe in any operators hands than with the Thorfinn. I am permitted without fail to do whatever deco or safety stops I want and if you are a beginner ( as I saw on my trip) they look after you like a close relative, if I could think of a better word than spectacular I would use it.......we'll done Captain Lance and all aboard.

Dive Holiday October 2012 on Board of the SS Thorfinn

It was a very nice Holiday on Board of the SS Thorfinn. The Ship, the Crew, the Captain, the Food and the dives are fantastic. It was one of the best dive Holidays, which we have made. The wrecks are still in good conditions. I can only recommend a Holiday in Chuuk on board of the SS Thorfinn...
