First Palau dive... a bit disappointing, especially after the amazing snorkeling we did the day before. We did see several manta rays.

Starting dropping along a wall, and Asher got nar'd. Seriously loopy! Used reef hook for the first time. Fun to hover in the strong current. Lots of white tip sharks. A couple black tip sharks.
2015-03-26 - Ulong Channel, Ulong Island, Palau
25m - 60 min - Dived with Sam's Dive Tours
Very hard swim up the channel, a really long and relaxing drift back down. Sea life was just ok, but the corals were magnificent. Every kind imaginable, all colors and sizes.
Turtles. Lots and lots of turtles! The dive started deep but was mainly between 45-55ft.
Nice wreck, still lots of the structure intact (ladders, canon, mast, etc). It was very murky and a bit scary. We did a swim-through that was very dark. Had to take it very slow, and watch the light ahead of us.

Open mouth sharks getting their teeth cleaned at the Cleaning Station. Saw a VERY active octopus that was moving around and changing colors.

Reef hook dive. Intense current. Guide called it an 11 on a 1-10 scale! Sharks sharks sharks though made it worthwhile. But it was a tough swim for me.
2015-03-29 - Blue Holes, Ngemelis Island, Palau

Spectacular dive! Looking up through the holes into the sunlight was amazing. The entire descent was like that. We then followed the bottom towards Blue Corner - the current was again too strong and I struggled with the swim. But I survived it! Scary but exhilarating... mainly scary.
Nice, easy drift along a steep wall. Positioned vertically, moving along the wall for about 30min. Nice corals, lots of juvenile sharks.

Reef hook dive. Lived up to its reputation. Extraordinary number of sharks, and more fish than I've ever seen on any dive. Highlight other than the sharks - a Mammoth Humphead fish.

Reef hook dive. Massive schools of dozens of types of fish. Sharks, barracuda, tuna, giant trevally and golden trevally.
2015-03-31 - German Channel, Carp Island, Palau

Best of the German Channel dives. Huge schools of fish; maybe 1000's and dozens of species. Swam all together, constantly changing direction in unison. They would dart away fast, then group like synchronized swimmers. Also saw a shark getting its teeth cleaning, and a lion fish easily three times the size of the biggest one I've seen in the Caribbean.
Nice, slow drift over the corals. Lots of rays and sharks. Silver tip shark mixed in with the white tips and black tips.

HIghlight - remora confused Asher for a shark! It swam with him, mainly under his fin, for about 20min! Nice approach by a spotted eagle ray.
2015-04-01 - Chandelier Caves, koror Island, Palau
9.5m - 45 min - Dived with Sam's Dive Tours
Chandalier Cave - Chambers 1-5. Computer logged as (5) separate dives because we surfaced in each chamber. I condensed the dives here. Obviously dark! Fun to swim through and then surface in each chamber. Each had it's own "personality."
