First ESSAC organised dive with Alexandre Meurisse, Michel van Winnedael, Alessio Borghi and Kostas Marinis. Dove with Alessio, trying out new drysuit of his. Balance and trim quite off - 8kgs in the BCD, 6kg in the belt (soft lead, high on back), and two in drysuit pockets. Obvious overweight but well managed dived - could not keep the hands from moving, either top or bottom heavy. Quite a lot of silt produced in the process. Took a wide right berth and then turned 240degrees to come back to the bus.
After long surface break, readjustment of Alessio's weight. 6kg on waist turned out to be eight - so original weight was 18kg. Removed 2kg from belt (now 6kg), and then again 2kg from the feet. Dive weight 14kg and that helped with trimming - not clear how much more can be shed. Claimed to be less stable in this config. good long dive around the entire edge of the chain, seeing two massive pikeperches (zander), around 7-9 kg each. Schools of perch (10 to 20 specimen, below 15cm). Found yet another wreck at the southern end of diving loop, large body of a sailing vessel.
