  • I'm in the 6th decade of my life, and I have 3 decades of diving experience. I've dived in many places, but definitely the best places are in Dalmatia. The best freshwater place are Skadar lake and river Bojana near the confluence with the Adriatic sea.

    Vela Grcka

    Vela Grcka - small part of island Hvar. It's on the way between Hvar city and Rt Pelegrin. It's a beautiful place where you can see Pakleni otoci. Sea is very clear and there are various species of fish. Entrance from coast (shore diving)

    Zečevo

    Zečevo, a small FKK (Freikörperkultur) island, on the north side of island Hvar near Vrbovska. The island is mainly for naturists, but there are also great diving spots on the island. In the evening many fishing boats arrive, and the fisherman catch squids with a special technique called Peškafondo. On the bottom there is grass called Posidonia, and there live the squids.

    Lovište Bay

    To reach the diving place on Šćedro you must go throw the Pitve-Zavala tunnel, and then take a boat to the middle of the island. The island was not populated in 1979, now it probably is. Near the coast there are is a interesting and rare sort of seashell called Periska (Pinna-Nobilis).

    We went on a trip to Pločice, a place between the islands Korčula and Šćedro. Diving wasn't so comfortable because it was windy. During the diving we saw many fishes like huge cuttlefish and we found sank fishing equipment.
