2013-07-15 - Moonhole, Bequia Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

12.2m - 55 min - Dived with Steve Giles from Dive Bequia

This was just pretty much a re-do of the Discover Scuba Diving course, which I have taken many times, our first real step to certification. We went down with a few new guys who were taking the course, and my old friend, she has a Rescue Diver certification. Great dive, largest group I have ever been diving with.

2013-07-16 - Devils Table Rocky Bay, Bequia Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

12.2m - 55 min - Dived with Steve Giles from Dive Bequia

This was pretty much drill day for us. We cranked through all of the confined water exercises, and even practiced some of them in open water, clearing our masks, etc. Pretty nice dive, getting slowly deeper by day. Good dive around Rocky Bay, abundant with marine life.

2013-07-17 - Moonhole, Bequia Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

16.8m - 55 min - Dived with Steve Giles from Dive Bequia

Cathy, our PADI Master Instructor, took us for an emergency surface drill, en route to our certification. We just decided to take a little dive around the reef, go a little deeper than we had before, almost to our goal of 60 feet. We did see some Lionfish down there, those ghastly creatures. Pretty early morning dive, I felt a little tired going down at first.

2013-07-18 - Strattman Wreck, Bequia Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

18.3m - 50 min - Dived with Steve Giles from Dive Bequia

This was our only dive blocking the path to our certification, just to brush up on some final skills, including using a compass. We visited two wrecks, one a tugboat called "Strattman", and another a monohull. Both were abundant in fish, the tugboat even had some of a very good size. Finally we are certified and can dive on our own. Advanced Open Water is the next step for me.
