Diver's Notes

Hike from our car was difficult in full gear. Parked on a gravel side lane and hiked past condos and down onto beach. Followed waterline and entered along rocks. This was my first time towing a dive flag (pain in the ass). Once on the bottom visibility was OK. Saw lots of fish, and Beth grabbed a few shells. About 30 minutes in (we had turned around and were still in the rock/sand groove at the bottom), we started struggling against some strong currents. Between screwing with the dive flag line and trying to fight the current, I got pulled up to the surface due to not dumping the air in my BC. Beth followed her training and looked for me for ~ 1min before resurfacing herself.

Next time, we need to be sure to have a noise-maker and it would be nice to have one of the dive flag's anchored so we don't have to tow it everywhere.
