  • I got into diving as a result of peer pressure. You see I have a fear of the water. My friend Chuck is a scuba diving instructor, he had invited me to come out on a boat ride as he was taking some people out to a dive site. I was tagging along just for the ride or so I thought. By the time we got out to the dive site he, along with everyone else on the boat, had pressured me into donning on the gear and walking to the edge of the boat to take a step into the big blue.  

Ever since then I have been in love with diving. I still have a fear of the water, and my heart still pumps like crazy just before I go in, but once I am in and I can hear my breath underwater, that fear resides!
