2017-06-24 - James Egan Layne Wreck, South West, United Kingdom

19.5m - 43 min

Dive 2 of the Plymouth Trip on the JEL. OK dive but ran very low on air and had a bit of an anxious moment. Geraldine was leading, I informed her when I was at 40 Bar so we started to head toward the shot line. Geraldine was swimming much better into the slight current, but I was heaving a bit. Using air too fast. I tried to ascend a little to reduce my consumption, and ultimately Geraldine lost sight of me - I was looking down at her but she never looked up. Made the (bad?) decision to ascend from 7m without DSMB and without safety stop. Surfaced with just 20 Bar! Boat skipper told me off for no DSMB ascent because there were other boats in the area. Must admit, this experience scared me a bit. Darren from Cardiff SAA also on twins also surfaced on 20Bar

2017-06-25 - Pier Cellars, Plymouth, United Kingdom

15.9m - 54 min

Day 2 of the Plymouth trip with Cardiff Trident Divers Had planned to do the ELK (33m) and get my deco dive signed off, but weather too rough so had to head in to more sheltered waters. Dived Pier Cellars. Indeep crew did not warn us of the currents we could expect. Spent half the dive drifting and half trying to kick into the current to stay with Geraldine
