Species Identified

Echidna nebulosa (Ahl, 1789) (Snowflake moray) Found between rocks and corals of intertidal reef flats, also in shallow lagoon and seaward reefs to depths of at least 10 m . Are benthic . Feed mainly on crustaceans. Protogynous hermaphroditism unconfirmed for this species . Safely kept with small aquarium fishes .
Doryrhamphus dactyliophorus (Bleeker, 1853) (Ringed pipefish) Inhabits tide pools, lagoons, and outer reef slopes. Found in caves and crevices. Ovoviviparous . The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail . Has been reared in captivity .
