Diver's Notes

This was a Seahorse Population Survey research dive with other volunteer research divers assisting Kenna Eco Diving.
We found 3 seahorses on the first dive:
A pregnant male Hippocampus hippocampus, who I had filmed mating on 20.6.14, a pregnant H. guttulatus, first seen on 10.6.14, and his mate.
On the second dive, again over 80 minutes, we found 2 new seahorses:
A pregnant H. guttulatus and a pregnant H. hippocampus.
In the past month of surveying we have found 17 individuals of both European seahorse species, including 12 pregnant males.
