Diver's Notes

Dive Buddy: Sean from class

The objective for this dive was to recover a lost set of keys that Scott had dropped. We had our search area identified and then decided to use a Circular pattern since it was a small item and we had no obstructions.

We descended and I acted as the anchor while Sean was the recoverer. Sean probably did about 10 circles before returning. When he returned I spotted and recovered the keys near our starting position. We ascended victoriously after a successful recovery.

Side note: perhaps you need more weight when acting as the anchor, especially when you begin to run out of oxygen and lose that weight.

Additionally, when I was acting as the anchor a small fish with yellow highlights stopped directly in front of me looked me square in the eyes and just sat and stared for at least 20 seconds... then he disappeared but returned again about 2 minutes later. He stopped and stared again for a brief moment. I've never had that happen before.
