2012-06-30 - Amphorae's Cave, Paphos, Cyprus

10.1m - 42 min - Dived with Clint from Cydive

From Paphos harbour on Cydive I to a nice shallow dive around Aphorae Caves. Rosa didn't want to enter the cave so we didn't. OK sealife, Red Scorpionfish was nice to get found almost accidentally between the long crass.

2012-06-30 - Vera K Wreck, Paphos, Cyprus

9.8m - 42 min - Dived with Clint from Cydive

Nice dive at the Vera K wreck from Cydive I. Only the bridge of the wreck is still in one piece and can get entered. Other parts of the boat lie all over the seabed and can't much tell what is what. Really nice large archway near the wreck where I spotted the biggest Parrotfish I've ever seen in Mediterranean, almost the size of one's in the Red Sea. Something (other divers?) had gotten a few Fireworms floating around which wasn't very nice. Wouldn't like to get those in to my face or inside the wetsuit...

2012-07-18 - Lara Bay North, Akamas Peninsula (Near Paphos), Cyprus

22.1m - 42 min - Dived with Mark from Cydive

With a Cydive I boat from Agios Georgios fishing harbour to a dive northern Lara Bay hoping to see a turtle. No luck this time, didn't see much fish either. Overhangs and swim-throughs were also promised, but didn't see any. In conclusion not much more than a midwater swim trying to keep in the divemaster's not very slow pace. Actually we did loose the rest of the group with two buddy pairs and a divemaster who obviously were slower. 20 minutes drive in back of the 4WD from Kato Paphos to Agios Georgios in wetsuits(!) wasn't my idea of fun either.

2012-07-18 - Geronisos Island, Pegeia, Cyprus

29.1m - 34 min - Dived with Mark from Cydive

Second dive of the the day from Cydive I after a good break in Agios Georgios fishing harbour. Only couple of minutes boat ride to the dive site on the northern side of Geronisos island. A bit more fish on this one. Entrance to a cavern said to be full of shrimps in 30m, but couldn't go in because the first ones to enter where coming out at the same time. Used a lot of air for some reason, maybe due to a lot of finning during this and previous dive. No-deco limit also came too near, so I started surfacing earlier and missed a couple of swimtroughs.
