2014-07-01 - El Perchal, Puerto de Mogán, Spain
13.1m - 47 min - Dived with Extra Divers Gran Canaria
Very smooth and calm dive. There were lots of rocks in the bottom close to the shore hiding several life forms in the holes. It was possible to see fish hiding under the sand as well. Large groups of fish were spotted swimming above and several colorful fish were feeding on the rocks. A very nice first day, fun and without trouble.
2014-07-02 - Mogán Oeste, Puerto de Mogán, Spain
16.5m - 39 min - Dived with Extra Divers Gran Canaria
The spot is similar to El Perchel with same type of floor and sealife. Several fish can be spotted feeding on the rocks, and spider crabs are also common. It was a smooth dive, but a small current could be felt sometimes. Profile is not accurate as the max depth wasn't maintained for the entire length of the dive.
2014-07-03 - Cermona 2, Puerto de Mogán, Spain
17.4m - 33 min - Dived with Extra Divers Gran Canaria
Dive to the wreck of the former fishing boat, Cermona II. It is a great spot for a first wreck dive thanks to its simplicity. It is possible to take a look around and also peek inside the holes. The wreck provides hiding for small fish and also serves as a reproduction spot for large groups of fish. Barracudas can be seen swimming above the wreck.
2014-07-03 - Alagranza, Puerto de Mogán, Spain
18.9m - 36 min - Dived with Extra Divers Gran Canaria
Located very close to the Cermona II wreck, the Alagranza is partly broken up in two parts. It is still possible to peek inside of the boat since most of it is still intact as it is a recent wreck, like Cermona II. Large groups of fish can be spotted around the wreck and Barracudas can be seen swimming above.
2014-07-04 - El Cabrón, Arinaga, Spain
22m - 48 min - Dived with Extra Divers Gran Canaria
Dive in the famous reserve of "El Cabrón". Entry from the shore, there are two main areas to be explored. A reef with a maximum of 12m and several life forms living in the rocks, and a deeper part, where it is possible to explore the wall during the descent/ascent. The floor hits at a maximum 22m depth. Missed out the stingrays and small sharks that can be spotted here. Shools of Barracudas could be seen swimming around as well as some bigger fish.
2014-07-04 - El Cabrón, Arinaga, Spain
22.3m - 53 min - Dived with Extra Divers Gran Canaria
Second dive in the reef of El Cabrón. Instead of exploring the reef walls, we went further ahead until an abandoned fishing net hosting a small sea horse. Afterwards we explored the upper part of the reef to avoid the decompression limits. The profile is not accurate as half the dive was spent above 12m.
