I heard this was an unusual dive. A bit of litter and scrap but Brits love wrecks and sunken things and the reefs in the UK are not that brilliant :) Anyway I had to do it as part of my training - and I'm glad I did. It is fascinating. Done as a drift into Electric station, the first thing I was shown was an unexploded landmine at about 12m, then continuing with the reef on the left we saw the first of the vehicles. There are over 20 Bren gun carriers and some trucks and trailers. I got some awesome photos. After you leave the vehicles and turn the corner into Electric Station the reef and wildlife get better. Thoroughly recommend the dive either as a first and new experience or for anybody interested in sunken things or military history.

Marsa Bareaka Canyon olso spelled Bareika, Barieka, Baraeka or Baraka Canyon. Nice dive, not pretty at the beginning but spectacular reef formation. Not in most dive books = very special dive! More details at:- http://www.diving-in-sharm-el-sheikh.co.uk/marsa_baraeka_bareaka_dive_site_and_map.php

Diving with Diving in Sharm el Sheikh
Dived with these guys on both Tank reef and marsa bareaka Canyon as well as many other sites in tiran and ras mohammed. They give a really personal service trying their best to give guests what they want regards dive sites, support, dive times and personal requirements. They specialise in like minded groups or families and also offer private guiding for special requirements. Their local knowledge and knowledge of dive sites and wild life is second to none. theyb are not the cheapest nor the most expensive but are the best I have experienced.
