Jill 105. 12 lbs good for both of us. Just outside the boat harbor. Nice reef shaped like a horseshoe. Saw a couple of pretty eels. Halfway through the dive at the end of the reef, two of the divers disappeared. They didn’t keep up and the divemaster didn’t keep track of them. So, we searched for them for a bit, and then surfaced and the boat captain said they were near the anchor line, so we descended for a bit more. Was annoying. Jill was not happy about the DM not keeping track and the divers not keeping track and ruining our dives and says she wouldn’t go with Kaimana again. I would probably try them again, but will try Dive Oahu next time as Dan Nater recommended and they were highly rated.

Jill 104. 12 lbs good for both of us. Jill had a bit of a panic attack prior to the dive, I’m a little worried about her diving, but she did great once we got in the water. Went with Kaimana Dive Company out of Kewalo Boat Harbor. Small boat, seemed good at first. Motored out about 10 minutes to the Sea Tiger. Fairly strong current so all 6 divers clung to a line on the side of boat until we were all ready to descend down the line to the Sea Tiger. Sea Tiger was a Chinese small freighter caught smuggling immigrants and impounded, then sold to Atlantis Submarine and made into an artificial reef. Was down around 100 feet. I used a lot of air clinging to side of boat and descending so was already at 2500lbs when we got to the bottom. I had time to do a swim through and then I ascended a bit so I wouldn’t run out of air. Pretty cool wreck, nothing too exciting except a turtle dive bombed us right over the deck near the end of the dive, which was great.

Great Experience

I finished my PADI Advanced Open Water Course with Lindsey and Drew, both of them are awesome and I would totally recommend this school!
