    Triple Anchor

Good with 12lbs. After diving the Hellcat we surfaced with about 2000psi of air and left all of our gear on and motored over to Triple Anchors and got back in the water after only about 20 minutes. This site is an old WWII Degaussing station consisting of a large concrete octagon, a smaller piece of concrete and three anchors with chains, maybe 50 yards long each in a triangular formation. Ships would pass over this to de-magnetize their hulls so mines wouldn't be attracted to them before heading out into the pacific. Lots of fish around the octagon and was fun to cruise along the chains and anchors and look for little nudibranchs and other critters. Saw a couple shrimp. Others surface raving about seeing Leaf Scorpionfish, but I didn't see any, unfortunately. They mostly left us along to meander on our own on this dive because you couldn't really get lost as long as you stuck to the following the chains.

    Horseshoe Reef

Jill 105. 12 lbs good for both of us. Just outside the boat harbor. Nice reef shaped like a horseshoe. Saw a couple of pretty eels. Halfway through the dive at the end of the reef, two of the divers disappeared. They didn’t keep up and the divemaster didn’t keep track of them. So, we searched for them for a bit, and then surfaced and the boat captain said they were near the anchor line, so we descended for a bit more. Was annoying. Jill was not happy about the DM not keeping track and the divers not keeping track and ruining our dives and says she wouldn’t go with Kaimana again. I would probably try them again, but will try Dive Oahu next time as Dan Nater recommended and they were highly rated.

    Five Graves

Jill 110. She tried 10lbs and was too light. Both should use 12lbs. Not great visibility, but a couple turtles and an octopus.

    Delwin's Delight

104: Delwin's Delight. This site was decent, but not as good as Babylon. Saw some cool nudibranchs and some scenic coral. I was able to get a nice hour-long dive on this one, even going down to 60 feet. 7/26/12 10:30 Depth: 62 Time: 60 Weight: 8 lbs (good) Wetsuit: swim shirt/skin Visibility: ~60' Water Temp: 86 Air Temp: 90 Conditions: Rolling Waves Weather: Mostly Sunny. Overall, the diving in Grand Cayman was A+ and the dive operator, Ocean Frontiers was excellent as well. We loved the full service aspect of it where they did nearly everything. Here's the people I remember: Matt - great, from LA, cute girlfriend Tilly - dive master/boat driver, seemed fairly senior and he was British and also great Heather - blonde woman, good guide, named Heather's Hallway while we were with her. Brittany - another blonde, good guide Colin - young guy, from New England, been on Cayman 7 months, did the stingray tour for us. Very nice. Said he got his dive master cert with OF last year and they offered him a job after that. Elly - photographer, really nice. Only one guy, I think it was Giles, we didn't care for, and can't remember his name, but he was British or Australian, and made a couple jokes about killing/dying before the Kittiwake Dive. He was odd.
