Molokini West Side, outer and partial wall dive
w/Makena Coast Dives
Started in crater, descended to 20' then swam over edge of crater to back wall. Then descended to 60' and followed wall and current back in to crater. Heard whales. Saw eels and a big turtle swam within about 6 feet of Jill near the end of the dive. Very cool.
Spent time on surface before dive looking for a whale shark rumored to be in the area. No luck.
Makena Coast were nice, but no roll call and too laissez-faire for us. Did not feel entirely safe and not very organized.
Great site, though. Saw Pro Diver boat so they are still in business, so may try them next time if we want to go to Kihei.
Also would like to try some shore dives on our own.
