Diver's Notes

Jill 135. 12lbs for both.

Saw a humpback whale during surface interval, then heard it underwater during our dive.

Also saw Hawaiian Monk Seal during surface interval and he followed us (not very close) for a lot of our dive. Or he was just in the area and slightly curious.

Final dive was awesome and made the whole day worth it. Hawaiian Monk Seal seen throughout. Several sizable sandbar sharks. Heard whale song underwater. A tiny dwarf morey eel. A couple of times we crawled along with handholds along the top of the sea mount and peered over the edge into the deep and saw a ton of fish hanging out. A few sizable trevally as well.

Boat ride back was very long and very rough, though Jordan our boat captain said it was only a 2 or 3 on a 10 scale and that most times it was a lot worse. Saw spinner dolphins at opposite side of crater (we motored around the other side of the crater, and it was like a much larger molokini) and a couple of turtles.
