Diver's Notes

Dove w/Lahaina Divers, kind of cattle herder, but good.
1st of 8 planned dives
Jill's first dive in 3 years
My first dive in 2.5 years

Mala wharf is an old collapsed wharf that is now basically a reef. Old pilings, rebar, concrete slabs, very cool.

Jill had problems descending with a leaky mask, but other than that descents were ok. Mike was trying out a disposable reusable camera. Hopefully the pics turn out.

Saw 3 greenback turtles, large 4+ feet long, one resting under a crevice. Jill and other divers saw a shark (~4 feet long), but Mike missed the shark.

Quite a few fish.

Cigar shaped yellow thing (probably a nudibranch)

Mike saw a yellow, white, and black worm-type thing. Took a pic, will try to ID later.

13 people on boat + 4 crew, 4 in our dive group.

Saw a very rare frog fish, pointed out by dive master. Looked like a leaf, would not have known it was a fish.

This was a very good dive.

What would you do differently: dive more frequently.
