Jill 95. Good with 12lbs. Jill went up to 14 and was good. She should stick to that. This was one of the best Molokini Backwall dives. I think we saw a different part of the wall, seemed like more nooks and crevices. Saw a very cool Hairy Hermit Crab in another large sea snails shell, he was very cool, kind of big, maybe small football sized. Unfortunately, the annoying woman hogged him for awhile so we couldn't get a good look at him. Saw ghost shrimp up under a crevice. Two octopi. Also a very large Spiny Lobster that cruised up the wall from down at about 140 feet up to 40 feet. He was on a mission. Watched him for a long time. Saw a small eel entwined in a piece of coral, but completely exposed. Loved this dive. And as a special treat saw a whale on the way back. Was pretty close to the boat and looked quite big.

Jill 94. Good with 12lbs. Jill started with 13, but was too light and had problems staying down at the end during our safety stop. Double backwall day with Maui Dreams Dive Company! Our first time out with them. Similar boat to Lahaina Divers (probably same builder). Very nice boat. Great crew. Really enjoyed them, despite them being a bit covid crazy (had to keep masks on at all times, and lots of hand sanitizer). Dave was one of the better dive guides we've had. Very mellow, very little noise making, cruised slowly, found lots of cool stuff. Saw some blue dragon nudibranchs, and saw a Crown Jellyfish. Dave spotted it out in the blue and swam out to it and lit it up and then we cruised out to see it. Heard whale song at the start of the dive. Saw a big eel and a big tuna. Saw a Grey Reef Shark off in the distance at the end. Too many cameras on this boat and it was annoying. The group in front of us was really slow so we ended up passing them. Woman in our group kept hogging spots taking photos. Then she got sea sick on the boat. Instant Karma.

Saw triple arches and first finger. This was the second dive for our shark conservation specialty. We didn't see any sharks this time but we saw several really huge turtles. The fish here are really beautiful - similar types as the Caribbean but a little different. This was a great dive!
