    Princess Penny's Wall

Great reef/wall dive site in the North Sound. Before the dive our guide told us about how the site was named after a local divemaster who was working to save money to go to the UK for medical school, but was diagnosed with cancer and died before she was able to go. This was her favorite site, so it was renamed after her. We started out on the top of the wall (about 60' deep) and then went over the edge and drifted down (to almost 90') to check out some of the various fish hiding under the coral ledges. Then we popped back up on top of the wall and explored for a while before heading back to the mooring line. The current was pretty strong, so we swam against the current going out and then drifted back with the current. This was the first dive that I used a 100cf tank, and it was much better because I didn't have to break off early and head to the surface.

    Kittiwake Wreck

Fantastic site for our first wreck dive. Our guide led us on a tour of the ship from the stern going forward. We saw the engine room, the galley, the washroom (the mirrors were still hanging on the wall) and since the ship was a submarine rescue ship we also saw the decompression chambers. Unfortunately I started running low on air, so we had to break off from the group and head to the surface before we got to see the wheelhouse.
