Diver's Notes

Dive on the NOC's constructed artificial reef. concrete sections constructed 1989, tyre sections created 1999.

Tasked to move spare scattered concrete blocks into the pile to add to the concrete artificial reef structure. Managed to move one each- really hard work! Rolled the blocks along the sea bed and got through lots of air.

Saw large conger, lobsters, crabs, large shoals of pollack and bib.

Spent a lot of time navigating back to the shot so saw most of the reef site. Also ended up going out towards the whelk pots at one point. The only other scattered blocks we saw were still in amongst oyster baskets from the experiments, so couldn't easily be removed.
