Weather was bad near Ponce/ Panama City and our boat canceled, so we drove up to Morrison Spring. Spring diving was clear, early in the morning ~9am it was quiet, it got more crowded by noon. First dive, performed mask cleaning x2, regulator recovery oth ways, buddy emergency breathing. Swam around for a little while, near a fallen tree, towards a cavern. There was a turtle that we enjoyed following.
Performed weight belt replacement. Bc replacement. Swam under the fallen tree, watch the cave divers.
Strong Currents. The Ship put on fins and managed not to lock mine. Used up 1000psi swimming after my fin, managed to get it while floating 50 feet to the other side of the boat. Anchor line made getting past rough seas down to the pontoon easy, where it was calm. All of the excitement left me pretty uncomfortable. Saw a lot of sea life including starfish, rays, jellyfish, grouper, and maybe a flat nose shark.
Jellyfish were glowing coming up. Saw a great octopus under the platform. Great camouflage fish. Nedko and I were lowest on air and camp up at 31, enjoying a nice long safety stop and slow ascent.
