First dive in almost 11 months, since last trip to Turks (Jan 2016). Had a little trouble with weight. Tried to go with 12 since I've lost weight but it wasn't enough. Managed to do dive but needed two more lbs. Also dropped my spear at beginning of dive and couldn't find it after decent. Of course so the biggest lion fish I've ever seen when I didn't have a spear.
Second dive of the day. Since I didn't have spear I helped dive buddy search for and catch lobster. Decided after dive that I would go online and get license so that I could try for lobster next day.
Dive site was Sea Emperor which is a wreck at around 65 feet. Nice wreck. Have been to this site before. Was able to go into wreck and have a nice look around. Used Nitrox since I was planning to go back in the afternoon for two additional dives.
Dived on a reef for a second dive and took my lobster gear in for the first time. Managed to get one only as there were a few others but they got away.
Decided to go back out in the afternoon for two more dives since I was going home the next day and they were going to be shallow reefs. Caught one lobster on this dive. Was with a not experienced group and it made it tough to stop and go for lobsters.
Last dive of trip. Went along with Ken my instructor from five years ago who was teaching Open Water course. Only saw one lobster but couldn't get it. Speared 5 or 6 lion fish
