Diver's Notes

We (1 OWD, 3 Rescue diver in training + IDC) had a nice dive to 17.1 meters, on the way back our instructor was playing different scenarios of a panicked, tired and out of air diver. I was confronted with the out of air situation where I wanted to give my octopus the instructor but he decided to pump up his bcd and ascent. He was too fast for me to grab him so I let him rise.
Further on the way back we (3 Rescuer in training) were the victims and the instructor was showing the right way to solve it. I decided to play a panicked diver. I tried to turn as much as possible trying to grab my rescuer (the instructor) my goal was to get his mask. Unfortunately he kept me so far away that in my aprox. 2 min of turning I didn't have the possibility to get close to him. He finished my "panic by keeping me away and inflating my bcd while pushing me up.

*Be not afraid of contact but keep the panicked victim away from you to secure your own safeness!
