  • Started diving in about 1984 with my first dive being with the ships dive team on HMS Illustrious. We went diving in one of the Fjords of Norway.
I borrowed a "Pussers Drybag" and my own twin set and Spiro DV.
I had no training then that I can recall. but had a go anyway. On the dive for Big Spider crabs I inverted and shot to the surface feet first. Very funny for everyone but me!
After that I decided to get trained. Which I did on return to the uk. At OMTS BSAC School in Gosport with Chris Underwood.
After that I never looked back!
