2016-01-14 - Mermaid Cove, Similans #5 Koh Ha, Thailand

20.6m - 48 min - Dived with Freshy from Andaman Divers Co, Ltd.

Similans trip is my 1st live on board diving trip. The boat supposed to cater for 20 divers, however at a very last minutes the other group of divers were cancelled off their trip. And we became \"chartered\" the whole boat. Our boat cruised @ 6.30pm 13/01/16 from jetty towards Koh Ha Similans Island No.5, at 10 knot per hour and we reached there by 3am next morning. As their culture, before the sailing, the captain will put on fire cracker at the front of the boat.

2016-01-14 - Donald Duck Bay, Similan Islands, Thailand

15.8m - 40 min - Dived with Freshy from Andaman Divers Co, Ltd.

My 1st night dive. Nothing much to see, other than bioluminescent phytoplankton at the bed of the sea. When there is a mix of water with different temperature, the water will become low turbidity.

2016-01-15 - Koh Bangu #9 Three Trees, Similan Islands, Thailand

35.5m - 34 min - Dived with Freshy from Andaman Divers Co, Ltd.

This is my 1st deep dive over 35m. I can't remember any "Narcosis" during the deep dive, but I found the water seem like a bit "thicker" or higher density. My buddy was out of air, we were sharing air during the safety stop.

26.4m - 38 min - Dived with Freshy from Andaman Divers Co, Ltd.

This is the dive where most of the divers down there were waiting for the giant manta to appear. We have been wandering at the upper flat boulder, until we heard the noise of air tank been hitting by pointer, that's where the giant manta appear crossing over our top. Suddenly, the environment down there became so "noisy" and busy of catching of the giant creature. We were so lucky that manage to experience the giant in the early stage of our diving life. Amy told us that only after her 190 dives this was ever the first met with the giant.

2016-01-15 - Koh Tachai Reef, Koh Tachai, Thailand

24.7m - 50 min - Dived with Freshy from Andaman Divers Co, Ltd.

This drift dive is one of the most relaxing dive, where we were just cruised on the current without much effort while enjoying the reef down there. Last dive of the day, our boat was parked at Koh Tachai for dinner. We enjoyed our evening scenery at the roof top of Daranee. After the dinner, the captain decided to cruise the boat over night to the Richelieu Rock, the furthest north of Similans dive site, close to Myanmar border. It was raining tonight, the water a bit rough, try to get to sleep in the moving bed at around 10.30pm.

2016-01-16 - Richelieu Rock, Similan Islands, Thailand

29.1m - 44 min - Dived with Freshy from Andaman Divers Co, Ltd.

I was awaken by the noise of engine and the bumpiness of the boat at 3am. The boat was still cruising slowly to the destination. Manage to get back to sleep half an hour later. The next moment I opened my eyes was 6 something, we were already arrived the dive site. Being the 2nd boat reached there and anchored in the middle of the sea. Most of the dive buddies were sea sick due to the bumpiness and roughness of the sea, everyone seems to have a bad morning without having an appetite for the breakfast. The small pinnacle of rock protruding out of the sea, submerged a large group of boulders below sea.

In this dive, master demonstrate how to use the hook, hooked on the cliff and "fly" like superman, a skill that we may use in future.
