Diver's Notes

Reports from Manta Point said no manta were around. So we went to Manta Bay again.
Grouped up with Charlie (earth sciences professor previously at Caltech/MIT/NTU) and his wife Joanne, and the divemaster.

About 5-10 minutes in, a large manta swam past, did a turn around, and swam past again. It was incredible. Five minutes later, swimming off with my own group, it returned and swam immediately past me (1 meter or so). The wingspan must have been over two meters.

The remainder of the dive we found a little turtle and two octopi.
