Diver's Notes

First dive on west side of island. Expected current, but there was none. The surface was a bit choppy, but didn't even use my snorkel. My low pressure hose was disconnected from my BCD prior to entry. I asked the diver next to me to turn off my tank so I could reconnect it. She had no idea what I was talking about and later asked me what the problem was with my BCD. This is when I began to realize the average diver simply trusts the dive shop to set up their equipment. This, combined with other conversations, showed me that the average recreational diver is fairly incompetent.

The dive itself was uneventful. Saw some groupers and other larger fish.
