Diver's Notes

Absolutely fantastic last dive in the Solomon Islands! Before the dive, there was much discussion about the saltwater crocodile that had been seen at this site in the last two visits by the Bilikiki. Csaba instructed us on what to do if we saw the croc - stay underwater, don't surface, move away. I think everyone was a bit nervous on this dive. When we dropped in, the water was so murky - less than 5m vis - not a good start! As we descended we were all clumped together, practically on top of each other. The vis cleared as we got deeper, and later in the dive was probably the best vis I've ever had diving. It was so amusing as everyone kept together for this dive, with everyone in sight of each other the whole time! Definately a first - all were obviously thinking safety in numbers!!
The dive was fabulous, with lots of hard coral, schools of fish and with great vis and light - an excellent photo opportunity!
