Mile 4.9Location: Inside Crystal Cove Oceanic Dive Computer Air temp 85° Visibility 75ft 5mm full wetsuit, booties We saw another octopus tucked into a rock (better view this time), a Helmut Shell eating an anemone, a cleaner shrimp and lots of beautiful fish. We mostly toured the sandy bottom. Ethan, Sarah and Jason had the cleaner shrimp 'clean' their teeth. It was pretty cool to watch!

Mile 4.9I took a PADI open water course as a refresher, and Sarah and Ethan took it for the first time. This was our first Open Water checkout dive; Eric came along as an observer and did some of the skills with us as a refresher. We did a few skills, but mostly had a relaxing scenic dive. The water temp was very comfortable in my suit. Sarah and Ethan had not problems. Our buoyancy was good. We saw a devil scorpion fish and a leaf scorpion fish. Jason Keefer from Kohala Divers PADI#151392 was our instructor. The dive boat was really well run, everything was labeled and very efficient. Captain Bill was great.
