Palencar Gardens, Cozumel A good dive, even with the crowd we had. Cozumel is, for the most part, no-touch no-take, so life here gets pretty big.
Houston Hammerheads Not a bad reef, although probably not the highlight of the island. A couple of toadfish.
Palancar Caves, Cozumel Excellent dive! Wendy was running a deep diver course, so I handled equipment. Joe and I traveled over the coral heads to the wall and saw the DM. He indicated the direction to go. Of course, 5 mins later I'd forgotten. Thank god Wendy picked up the correct direction.
Cedral, Cozumel w/Houston Hammerheads Another good one!
Santa Rosa Wall Houston Hammerheads Steve renamed the toadfish as the "flat furry catfish"! :-) Good wall!
Tormentos, Cozumel Houston Hammerheads 2 octopi, plenty of stone crabs, 3 golden moray eels, etc.
Punta del Sur, Cozumel Houston Hammerheads 3 swim-throughs, all deep (115' - 130'). I had to skip the last one because one computer had 0:00 no-deco time left. Wendy took Steve & Joe with the DM to look at the white coral cross on that one.
San Francisco Wall, Cozumel Houston Hammerheads AOW Deep Dive, Joe Pickell Large (6') green moray eel free-swimming midway through the dive. Wendy pointed out extremely small anemone shrimp. We were contemplating a third dive for the day, but computers said it wasn't a good idea.
