Diver's Notes

Lancer II wreck dive from K&E RIB. Buddy Leeann. Very nice dive - viz OK, loads of fish (bib), lots of starfish, anemones, 2 big edible crabs... BUT 1) got unexpectedly into mandatory deco - was close to NDL but we went off the wreck at 23.5m to the bottom at 27.5m to put up a DSMB and that put us both into a little bit of deco, 2) ended up *very* low on air, let L know when on 80 and again on 60 but she wasn't in any hurry - think she didn't appreciate how fast I use air. Lessons learnt: 1) agree tank pressure to thumb the dive before going in (at least 80 bar), 2) if worried about air thumb the dive, don't wait for buddy to finish whatever they're doing and 3) watch out with NDLs and be careful - if near an NDL start ascent from the top of the wreck of in a situation like this one.
