- Robknell's trip Portland Warmup
Pre-Portland warm up dive 1. Buddied up with Chris Hanka, went in, down the big hole, round the bus, along the gully, found the traffic lights. Lots of messing about in shallow bits. Didn't actually surface at the bit in the middle but was pretty close. Cold but not too bad.
Portland warm-up dive number 2. Buddied with Len Hards and Ian Angus. Bus then along the gully to the big pile up of boats, had a close encounter with a big (1m?) pike which really didn't care that we were there. Cool. Vis good when the silt wasn't stirred up. Lost Len towards the end because Ian swam in the wrong direction and I followed...
