C 58 Wreck (A.K.A. General Anaya)Wreck dive on the C-58 wreck. Very cool - best wreck dive yet. Only the stern remains as Hurricane Wilma tore it in two in 2005 and dragged the bow section about 400m away. Entered the stern, which had a large school of fish (grouper?) hanging out and was very picturesque. Stern had open sides but covered top, so lots of light but no direct access to surface. Then did a swim through the main central corridor. I was a bit nervous at first but totally cool and worth it. Peered into the various rooms and compartments on either side along the way. Came back around and then did a swim through a very low hole at the bottom to come out inside. All and all, very cool. Dive shop: Aqua Adventures Eco Divers

Koh Bon West RidgeWild dive. Saw a GIANT manta about 2 minutes into the dive. We saw him periodically throughout the dive. That part was amazing. He had a couple of remoras or big wrasse on him. Not so cool: about 10 minutes in Jeff got confused and started panicking and heading for the surface. At first I thought he was low air but not, then maybe having mask issues. Tried to calm him and after about 30 seconds he calmed and we continued the dive. There was a LOT of current - had to hang on to the ridge to keep from being swept away. Saw the manta again. Then looked around and Jeff and Mark (DM) surfaced to low air while we continued with another group. All in all a very cool and also scary/wierd dive!

Richelieu Rock Hin Pio Naam1st dive at Richelieu Rock. Practically jumped in on top of a whale shark! Ahhh! Soo feaking sweet. Probably about 6 meters? Had a school of jacks(?) swimming all and it. So amazing. Rest of dive was awesome too. Pair of ghost pipefish. Octopus. Bunch of barracuda, trevally's, etc. Shrimp. All sorts of fun stuff. Basically diving in a nature documentary or living aquarium. Best dive ever.

The CauldronDive 4 of 10. This dive was dope AF. Super chill and relaxing at the beginning... Lots of garden eels, coral fish, like a dozen giant trevally just sitting hanging out in the current. Then we went into "the cauldron" below some serious current. Saw the first shark of the trip there--pretty big, too. Then up into the current and whoosh! Woohoo!! What a fun ride! Just cruising drifting through the channel. Flew past a turtle, a blue spotted ray and a bunch of other stuff. Chilled out again at the end. Overall a pretty awesome dive.
