Diver's Notes

Second seal dive at Montague Island.
Dived with Denis, Angelo (recommends Abyss dive
shop, Kogarah) and Carl.
Only saw a few seals on the surface of the ocean, off in
the distance.
No seals seen underwater.
Saw an interesting school of long, thin,
blak fish (each about 20-30cm long), almost swarming and swimming in a tight knot
around each other, like a moving black cloud.
Also saw a vibrant blue fish (about
5cm long and about 1-2cm high) swimming standing up and flexing in an S-shape, almost
like it was moonwalking!
I watched it swim in this fashion for a few minutes, then
went to look elsewhere.
While ascending to end the dive, and having stopped for a
3 min safety swap, a huge stingray (at least 3m across) quickly glided by along the
ocean floor.
Tried to swim after it but it was too quick!
