Diver's Notes

After satisfactory pre-dive checks, I and my team dropped into P3 with all equipment performing flawlessly. I had approximately 15 minutes of dive time on the 5.5 lb radial scrubber with 2100 psi O2 in an 3 L cylinder and air dil. I set the setpoint to 1.2 and ran the unit manually at 1.3 ATA Swam to the Henley's Castle jump and took the jump toward Henley's Castle. We turned due to depth and returned to the goldline. While ascending I noted that Cell 3 was consistently reading 0.05-0.15 below the PPO2 of Cells 1 and 2. Dil flush confirmed Cell 3 was reading slightly lower than Cells 1 and 2 that appeared to respond accurately to the dil flush. I continued the dive keeping a close eye on cell performance. We then returned to the jump leading to the spring tunnel and swam approximately 800'-1000' down the spring tunnel and turned on a team member's gas. Cell 3 continued to drift further from Cell 1 and 2's readings. Approximately 200-300 feet from the start of the spring tunnel I noted Cell 1 was reading 0.05-0.1 higher than Cell 2. At this point Cell 3 was reading 0.3-0.4 ATA lower than Cell 1 and therefor was voted out. Cell 1 and Cell 2 drifted further apart and a dil flush showed Cell 1 to be responding normally. I changed to a low setpoint and ran the unit manually from Cell 1 alone. Cell 2 (new as of 25 JAN 2013) readings continued to drift further and further from Cell 1. We returned to the cavern and exited via P2. An aggressive O2 flush at 20 ffw showed Cell 1 at approximately 1.6 with Cell 2 current limited at 1.2 and Cell 3 current limited at 0.9. The cell outputs did not change for the 3 minute duration spent at 20 ffw while Cell 1 continued to read 1.6. Team consisted of 2 OC sidemount divers in addition to myself. I carried AL 80 X2 bailout with 3 lb trim weight on each shoulder (total of 6 lbs) and felt quite comfortable in the water with good trim.
