Diver's Notes

Dropped into Martz Sink with the intention of waiting for 2 OC team members to finish gearing up. Dive plan was to swim to the courtyard, however, during descent, cell readings suddenly began reading 0.00 0.00 0.00 on the Shearwater. while troubleshooting the secondary the goldline (ran on the ceiling) somehow became latched INSIDE of one of the latches that secures the head. After approximately 10 minutes of attempting to free myself I was able to determine that the line was actually latched inside of the latch securing the head. I unfastened this latch which freed the line. I then re-fastened the latch and waited for my team to appear. Upon my team entering the cavern I signaled that my secondary was "fucked" and I was thumbing the dive. I then signaled the two of them to continue on with their dive and I would return to the surface. They acknowledged and continued on their dive while I returned to the surface without incident. Upon investigation I noted that the power switch controlling the isolator board was in the off position. I am not sure as to how this switch ended up in the "Off" position, but I am certain I did turn this switch to the "On" position and this is further evidenced by noting accurate cell readings during pre-breath. I feel that the switch may have not been fully rotated to the "On" position during pre-dive and this is what allowed the switch to suddenly turn off during the dive.
