Diver's Notes

Dive Against Debris certification dive with Brad Snyder. Brad dove dry with double steel - this allows him to dive without any extra weight. I was in a 7mm suit, heavier boots, no gloves or hood, and the Halcyon Explorer BCD, with a 100 cu ft steel Nitrox, 5 and 5 lbs on the front and 2lbs on each side on the back (total 14 lbs). We were on a mission to find debris in the lake. Entering at the south platform, Brad and I swam out to the "chuckie" doll, then north to the NE line from the north platform. From there we went out to the 400 ft bucket, back to the 200 ft, through the rings, back to the 100 ft bucket and over to the North Platform. David Craig was running an Advanced Night Dive, so we avoided the platform itself. From there we headed back to the middle and then south platform. Once at the south platform, we ascended to end the dive. We did find a piece of wood and beer can debris. This was logged in the Project Aware App. Brad recommends I use the App for each dive, regardless of finding debris or not.
